How do I take advantage of the Institute of Physics agreement?

Answer

To publish open access in an IOP journal, you will need to do the following:

  1. Submit via IOP’s ScholarOne platform. (Note: The process may vary for some society partner journals.) At submission step 6, you’ll be prompted to make an open access choice. IOP will identify your eligibility for funding based on your affiliation at this stage.
  2. Either during the peer review process or once your article has been accepted for publication, you will be asked to sign an open access copyright form to publish under a CC BY license. You may find IOP’s transformative agreement copyright form video on their site. Note that the institutional affiliation of the corresponding author determines eligibility.

For detailed steps through the process, please see this Step-by-Step Guide to Publishing OA.
