It depends.  

For work that falls under the Open Access Policy, you will need to deposit the accepted manuscript version of a work to take advantage of the policy’s license. 

For work that predates the policy, or for which you waived the policy, the Scholarly Communication Team will work with you to identify what version of the work you may be able to deposit based on the publisher’s terms.
