I have a coauthor; how does that affect my ability to take advantage of the University’s Open Access Policy?

Answer

Each joint author of an article holds copyright in the article; so, if any co-author of an article is a UAlbany author, then that person individually has the authority to take advantage of the University’s Open Access Policy.

Before depositing your work to Scholars Archive, however, we recommend you notify all your coauthors of your intention to share the work openly and secure their support for your doing so.
