Where should I share my data to meet my funder’s requirements?

Answer

It depends. Some funders may recommend specific repositories for data sharing, and some disciplines have robust data repositories for finding, sharing, and preserving data. Some journals may require that you share your data in a particular repository.

If you are not familiar with what is available in your field or required by your publisher, then you may want to confer with your subject librarian or contact Data Services

The University also manages an open access repository, Scholars Archive, where you can preserve and share your research publications and associated data. While there is no storage limit for individuals, there is a practical upload limit of about 15-20 GB for an individual primary or supplemental file. Please contact us with your questions or for more information.
