What is information literacy?

Answer

Information literacy is the ability to interact critically and successfully with information. The definition from the Association of College & Research Libraries is "Information literacy is the set of integrated abilities encompassing
the reflective discovery of information, the understanding of how information is produced and valued, and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning." As is clear from this definition, information literacy extends far beyond doing research for academic projects.
