Starting September 2, 2024, UAlbany Libraries is introducing a new on-demand reference model to provide you with flexible and convenient research assistance. Here's how you can get help:

    1. 24/7 Chat Service:

• Click the yellow "Ask Us" button on the library's website
• Or visit our Reference Ask Us homepage (https://albany.libanswers.com)
• UAlbany librarians are available during business hours
• After hours, you'll be connected with librarians from other institutions

    2. Ask Us by Email:

• Send us a question by email:  askus@albany.libanswers.com
• We answer emails during business hours

    3. Schedule an Appointment:

• Book a 60-minute research consultation and choose between virtual (Zoom) or in-person appointments

    4. Online Tutorials:

• Access self-paced tutorials on topics like research skills, citation, and more
