Retrieve U.S. Census data back to 2000 from data.census.gov. The Census Academy has many short tutorials for searching this website. For more information, consult the Census Bureau's FAQ or our research guide.  For quick state, county, and town profiles, Indiana University's economic development tool StatsAmerica may be helpful.

For data prior to 2000, consult our research guide on historical Census data or try one of these resources:

Historical Statistics of the United States (covers 1790-2000)
Statistical Abstract of the United States (covers 1878-2012)

Contact our government information librarian, Karina Ricker, for additional guidance (kricker@albany.edu).
