Q. How can I get a dissertation/thesis from another academic institution?

UAlbany faculty, staff, or students can get full-text dissertations/theses produced at other academic institutions via the ProQuest database Dissertations & Theses.

If full-text is not available there, you can request dissertations/theses through Interlibrary Loan. Many of these are only available in microfilm format, so when filling out the ILL form, make sure to note whether you will accept microfilm format if print is not available.
