The libraries do not provide editing/proofreading or citation review services.

If you are seeking assistance with how to cite sources, we have online and print citation resources available.

If you can plan in advance, check with your professor to see if they are available to review the paper. You can also ask a classmate or friend to read it or offer to proofread/peer-edit each other's work.

Writing Center

UAlbany offers writing support; please understand that a writing tutor is different from an editor or a proofreader.  While copyediting may improve a single essay, it will not help you improve your skills as a writer.

Writing support at UAlbany is designed to help students, staff and faculty at every level write cogent, well-researched, and well-structured essays.  You will work with tutors in one-to-one sessions, typically 60 minutes in length.

You can schedule to meet with a Writing Center tutor, in-person, to focus on citations.
