You are welcome to visit the University Library in person and use our resources, including research databases, on-site.

Due to database licensing restrictions, off-campus access (remote access) to our research databases is limited to current UAlbany students, faculty, and staff with a valid NetID.

Alumni Association:

There is a small suite of alumni databases that can be accessed off-campus (remotely) which includes Academic Search Alumni Edition and Business Source Alumni Edition. These special alumni databases are part of the SUNYConnect program which provides access to information resources for all 64 SUNY campuses. You will need to join the Alumni Association and visit their website to access these databases.

Beyond SUNY:

Alumni who are residents of New York state have access to various databases remotely through NOVEL NY, the New York Online Virtual Electronic Library

New York State residents may also apply for a New York Public Library Card to access select NYPL databases remotely.
